 WCPA

The World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) is the world’s premier network of protected area expertise. It is administered by IUCN’s Global Programme on Protected Areas and has over 1,700 members, spanning 140 countries.

WCPA The group “Young Professionals (YP) of the World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA)” of IUCN brings together young specialists involved in the management of protected areas around the world. A regional group of young professionals for the West and Central Africa region (WCPA-JP ACO) was established in early 2015. This network counts about 200 volunteers that are operating in 15 countries to promote protected areas and create a community that can learn and work together for the good of conservation, regardless of their generation, gender or geographical area. To become a member of this group you will need to be invited by a current member and explain what are your interests and personal experience related to the management of protected areas.
